Sodilaud displaying a Markdown note in its dark theme
New in v0.10

Your notes, floating over whatever you are doing.

Press ⌘⇧N (Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows and Linux) in any app to show Quick Notes: every note, folder, and pin, with the full Markdown editor, in a panel that stays on top.

  • Stays in view. Clicking another app leaves the panel open, so a running list of actions is always there. Hide it with the hotkey or ⌘W.
  • Stays out of the way. On macOS it opens over full-screen apps without bringing Sodilaud to the front or changing your ⌘⇥ order.
  • Picks up where you left off. Same size, same place, same note.
  • Separate from your files. Notes keep their own storage, apart from the Markdown files you edit in the main window, where changes save automatically, outside edits are detected, and a file is never reformatted.
New in v0.8 · macOS

Your clipboard history, one hotkey away.

Press ⌘⇧V in any app to open your recently copied text. Pick one with a number key, the arrows, or the mouse, and it goes back on the clipboard. Sodilaud can also paste it for you.

  • Memory only. Nothing is written to disk, logged, or sent to agents or the network. It is wiped when you quit.
  • Secrets masked. API tokens, passwords in URLs, and KEY=value lines stay hidden until you reveal them.
  • Expires on its own. You choose how many entries to keep and for how long, from 1 to 120 minutes.
  • Stays out of the way. The popup opens over full-screen apps without bringing Sodilaud to the front.

Off by default. Turn it on in Sodilaud menu → Clipboard history.

Small by design

A scratchpad should stay out of the way.
